The program is available to all low to middle income taxpayers, with special attention to those over 60. Although the focus is on taxpayers over 60, there are no age restrictions and people do not need to be a member of AARP.
There are no income limits; instead, the complexity determines if a return can be prepared.
All AARP Tax-Aide volunteers are trained and certified annually by the IRS. Many have been with the program for 10 years or more.
