AUBURN – A celebration of life service and farewell party with traditional country music honoring the life of Donald E. Thibodeau was held Thursday from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with the Rev. Bob Giguere presiding assisted by Jackie Harmon, president of the Downeast Country Music Association. She introduced singer, Patrick Libby who sang, “Got No Reason,” and “I saw the Music.” Followed by country singer Jim Palmer accompanied by Uncle Cy singing their own songs, “Working Six Days On,” and “Moonlight and a Waitress’s Eye,” singer, Mary Murphy sang her rendition of “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “In the Arms of the Angels.”; singer Barry Wood sang, “Go Rest High on the Mountain Top” as well as Don and Isabell’s favorite, “Farewell Party.” Before concluding prayers, four people were recognized by president Jackie Harmon for helping Don during his illness, Elizabeth Decker, Tina Sue Hanscom, Robert Lee Wormwood and Jim Guilmette. She then presented an angel to Don’s companion, Isabell Fisher in recognition of her love and care of Don and being an angel to him. After concluding prayers, all were invited to a reception of fellowship at the home of Ray and Kathy Thibodeau in Auburn.
