BOSTON – Edna R. Hilton, 80, died Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Formerly of Andover, she resided on Remicks Lane, Kittery.

She was born in Andover on Oct. 4, 1927, a daughter of Henry and Viola (Cole) Roberts and graduated from Andover High School, Class of 1946.

She had been employed as a chef for the Kittery school department for more than 20 years, until retirement. She was an avid beano player and she enjoyed life and lived life. She was well thought of and was a friend to all who knew her.

She was married in Andover on Feb. 3, 1947 to Lindon E. Hilton, who died in 1989.

Survivors include sons, Russell “Dusty” Hilton and wife, Ruth, of Andover and Lance Hilton of Kittery; grandchildren, Joscelyne Hilton of Andover and Jason Hilton of Kittery; great-grandchildren, Jacob Hilton of Kittery and Emily Silva of Andover; a brother, Kenneth Roberts and wife, Margaret, of Rumford; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Rodney Hilton; a daughter, Melody Ann Hilton; and three sisters, Grace Simmons, Agnes Porter and Ismay Meecham.
