This is in response to the letter from Diana Smith (Jan. 21) in reference to a photo on the front page of the Sun Journal (Jan. 7) of a man clearing snow off his roof while three children are inside by the front window.
She must not know the intricate fabric of that family to come up with the conclusion that these children were lazy and obese. First of all, none of those children is lazy or obese.
I wonder if she considered the father knows the children’s abilities much better than a perfect stranger. I think Smith should find out the facts before judging other people.
The man in the photo is a single parent, and he was very wise to not allow children of that age to be clearing snow while he was up there.
He is doing what is right for his family and, in my opinion, is doing a good job.
