DIXFIELD – Jeffrey and Shelly Harlow of Dixfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Haley Collins of West Lafayette, Ind., to Peter Douglas Gilbert of West Lafayette, Ind., son of Douglas and Donna Gilbert of Dixfield.

Miss Collins is a 2006 graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She is currently attending graduate school at Purdue University, studying sociology.

Mr. Gilbert is a 2004 graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently attending graduate school at Purdue University, studying mechanical engineering.

A May 31 wedding will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford.
