LEWISTON – Robert G. “Red” Cloutier of Greene, formerly of Jay and Lewiston, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, Jan. 24.
He was born in Auburn on May 29, 1926. He was the son of the late Fred and Nora (Pelletier) Cloutier.
Bob married the love of his life, Jacqueline Brin, on Jan. 21, 1950. She passed away on Oct. 8, 2003.
He retired from the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lewiston.
He was a devoted man of God and showed that in his everyday life. All who knew him will remember his grand stature, his crown of glory and his wonderful sense of humor. It hurts to know that he is no longer with us, but he has met his maker and has reunited with his wife, whom he has missed so desperately.
Bob is survived by his four children and their spouses, Patty and Marcus, David and Cindy, Jeff and Katy, and Bobby and Gidget; two brothers, George and Richard and their families, and a third brother, Maurice, may he rest in peace; his grandchildren, Mikayla, Chase, Bryan, Kelly and her husband, Ralph, Derek and his wife, Meagan, Dana and his wife, Courtney, Joshua, Angela, Jenna and her husband, Tony, Jennifer and Cindy; great-grandchildren, Drake, Aurianna, Kayden, Cole, Noelle and Jazmin; his wife’s family, Jeannette and Al, Gloria and Raymond, Christine and Michael, and their families; plus many close friends that had continued to be a wonderful part of his life.
Dad, we will miss you so much. It was hard when Mom died, but now that you are both not with us, it will be that much harder. May God give us the strength to carry on without you both, knowing that we will all meet again someday. “In Jesus’ Name We Pray” Amen.
