LEWISTON – Thomas G. Banks, 66, formerly of 74 Summer St., Lewiston, died Friday, Jan. 25, at Russell Park Manor, where he had been a resident for the past 10 years.
Born in Lewiston on Dec. 31, 1941, he was the son of George and Helen Peters Banks. Educated locally, he was a 1961 graduate of Lewiston High School.
Prior to his retirement due to illness, he was employed for many years in the security department of St. Mary’s Hospital.
A member of St. Joseph’s Parish, he also belonged to the Knights of Columbus.
He was a fan of all sports, but especially loved hockey and was a lifelong Bruins fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Perry of Lewiston, and Lisa and husband, Ken Gauthier, of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Travis Perry of Oak Forest, Ill., and Katy Gauthier of Lewiston; special cousin, Jane Banks of Sabattus; a sister-in-law, Linda Banks of Lewiston; a brother-in-law, Dale Dawley of Lewiston; three nieces, Erin Guire of Baring, Stephanie Morin of Sabattus, and Alyson Banks of Lewiston; two aunts, Blanche Banks and Adeline Banks, both of Lewiston; and several cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John Banks; and a sister, Sharon Dawley.
