LEWISTON – Jim and Diane Whalen of Lewiston are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Rose Whalen, to Bradley Scott Edwards, son of Scott and Debbie Edwards of North Haverhill, N.H.

Miss Whalen is a 2001 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, receiving a master’s degree in human nutrition. She is currently employed as a registered dietitian at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Mr. Edwards is a 2002 graduate of Woodsville High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, receiving a bachelor’s degree in construction management technology. He is employed as a project engineer at Ledgewood Construction in South Portland.

The wedding will be held in October at Holy Family Church, with a reception to follow at the Hilton Garden Inn.
