Norway – Nathan P. Barker, 91, of Oxford, died Saturday, Jan. 26, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Gray, June 30, 1916, the son of Herbert F. and Sadie Barker Sr.

He worked on the farm most of his life and at C.B. Cummings Co. He was the widower of Elsie Hodgkins Barker. He enjoyed his dog and watching TV; for the last three years he had resided at Ledgeview Living Center, in West Paris.

He is survived by his six daughters, Bertha Tripp, Addie Burkhalter of Texas, Beryle May of South Carolina, Linda Paine, Mary Hatfield of Oklahoma and Nancy Shaw; a sister, Phyllis Coffin of Lewiston and a brother, Earl Barker of Old Town; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers ,Herbert Jr. and Arthur (Dick) Barker; and a sister Irene.
