ODELL, N.H. (AP) – A New Hampshire man was seriously hurt after crashing his snowmobile into a rock formation on Little Bog Pond.

Thirty-seven-year-old Brett Savage of Lancaster was riding across the pond at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday when he hit the rocks which create a dam.

An ambulance responded and used snowmobiles and rescue sleds to travel the nine miles to the accident scene. Savage was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Fish and Game officers say speed does not appear to be a factor in the accident. They are still investigating.
