FARMINGTON – Franklin County Animal Shelter staff said Owen, a buff double-pawed cat, is just a large lap cat.
Staff said he weighs around 15 pounds and one of his biggest charms is how aloof he is. He saunters about looking as dignified as can be.
Owen would be a perfect lap cat, they said, and the only issue he has is his vanity. Because he is so vain, he would prefer a household where he is the only pet. He does adjust to other animals eventually but he is only tolerant of them.
New dogs at the shelter include a senior all-white female shepherd found on the Farmington/Industry town line.
Martin Luther King Jr. Adoption Day was a success and many cats found homes. Now staff is hoping to more are adopted in honor of the Patriots. It has split down the middle, creating the Patriots and the Giants who are trying to score the most touchdowns (adoptions) to win. Anyone looking for a cat should talk to a member of their favorite team. For more information, call 778-2638.
