PARIS – A man’s body was found inside a car parked on a cul-de-sac here Wednesday night, Paris police Lt. Michael Dailey said. Foul play is not suspected, he said.

The identity will not be released until a medical examiner completes an examination and determines the cause of death, he said. He did not know if an autopsy would be done.

Dailey said the town highway crew saw the car about 7 a.m., parked on Thayer Road, a dead-end dirt road off Mt. Mica Road east of Paris Hill. When crew members returned there about 9:15 p.m. while performing routine duties, they found the body and called police.

Auburn police had a report of a missing person on Tuesday, but it’s not known if the man found in Paris is the same, the lieutenant said.

Assisting Dailey were Chief David Verrier and officer Raymond Parr.

Dailey said the man’s identity is expected to be released by this afternoon.
