EAST LIVERMORE – Rose Therrien, a former resident of Lavoie Street in Jay, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, at her daughter’s home after a long illness.
She was born on Dec. 14, 1920, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Francois and Emelienne (Collette) Thibeault and attended Livermore Falls High School.
On Nov. 4, 1940, she married Armand J. Therrien at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He passed away on Oct. 29, 1976. She was a homemaker most of her life and had worked at the local shoe shop. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the VFW, Post 3335 Auxiliary of Jay.
She is survived by three daughters, Pat Therrien of Pensacola, Fla., Barbara Smith of Livermore Falls and Arlene Therrien of Livermore Falls; a brother, Ted Therrien of Louisiana; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Elaine in 1955; three brothers, Clarence, Joseph and Frank Thibeault; and three sisters, Mable Beisaw, Eva Ferretti and Georgine Fullam.
