LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Jan. 28 with 29 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.
The sick list includes Dora Slovak, Marie Leblanc, Jean Luciano and Marie Gagnon. Two guests were present: Fernande Theberge and George Doiron. Members welcomed back Lorraine Cote.
The group will hold its monthly bingo game and card games on Monday, Feb. 4.
Members sang “Happy Birthday” to those who observed their birthdays in January: Mary Groleau, Edith Leblanc, Annette Richards, Pauline Duguay and Gerry Richards. Ice cream and cake were served.
The 50-50 was won by Aurelien Couture, and a knitted scarf donated by Marilyn Desoto was won by Cindy Hebert. The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
