DURHAM – Laura G. Johnson and Richard K. Combs (Rastus), both of Durham, are pleased to announce their engagement.

The future bride is a paralegal at L’Hommedieu Law Offices and has two children, Amanda and Ture, from a previous marriage.

The future bridegroom is a custodian/bus driver for the Lisbon School Department and also works part-time at Larry Stewart Auto Sales. He has two sisters, Nancy Meehan of South Carolina and her husband, Mike, and Debra Combs-Cyr of Wisconsin.

A June 1 wedding is planned.
