NEW GLOUCESTER – Dorothy F. Roy, 63, of New Gloucester, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 3.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 19, 1943, the daughter of Dominique and Lucia Turgeon.

She graduated from Lewiston High School and lived in Lewiston most of her adult life. She enjoyed knitting and gardening. She was well-known for her hot peppers. She drove a school bus in Auburn for 10 years, and later retired from Cape Shore, where she worked as a home maker. One of her greatest joys was playing in the band at East Gate Christian Fellowship, where her friends and family were. She attended East Gate for 30 years, and will be sadly missed there.

She leaves behind two sons, Raymond D. and wife, Lynne (Caron) Roy and Matthew J. and wife, Valerie (Gagnon) Roy; four grandchildren, Scott, Renee, Jesse and Dora, whom she all loved very much; two brothers and two sisters, Edward, Normand, Jeannine and Doris.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond L. Roy; her son, Michael S. Roy; both parents; and two sisters, Monique (Turgeon) Nelson, and her namesake, Dorothee Clementine Turgeon.
