AUBURN – Verna F. Fuller Cullen, 86, of North Auburn Road, died Saturday, Feb. 2, at Clover Health Care.

She was born in Lewiston on Oct. 7, 1921, the daughter of Perley and Marion (Hanscom) Fuller. She was educated in Lewiston schools, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1939.

In 1988, she married Hugh L. Cullen Jr. Together they enjoyed canoeing, hiking and exploring Maine and the Canadian Maritimes. She was a true Yankee, hardworking and frugal. She loved animals, especially dogs and cats, providing homes to countless strays.

She is survived by her husband, Hugh of Auburn; her son, Anthony Leotsakos of California; and sister, Norma Willoughby of Auburn.

She was predeceased by her son, Nikolas Leotsakos.
