AUBURN – Patricia P. Bennett, 81, of 102 Goff St., Auburn, died at her home on Monday, Feb. 4.

She was born in Lewiston on June 29, 1926, the daughter of Peter P. and Mary E. Sexton Monaghan. Educated locally, she was married to George H. Bennett on May 13, 1946. Mr. Bennett passed away in 1986.

A member of St. Joseph’s Parish, she was active in the Queen’s Guild, and enjoyed traveling with them, including trips to Rome and the Medjugorje Shrine in the former Yugoslavia. She also belonged to the DAV Women’s Auxiliary, and enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with her friends.

Survivors include three sons, Larry and wife, Patricia Cummins, of Spring Hill, Fla., George H. Bennett of New York City, and Ronald Bennett of Boston; two daughters, Linda Martin of Auburn and Donna and husband, Donald Jacobs, of Greene; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kristine Martin; and four sisters, Mary Coolidge, Evelyn Norris, Lena Driscoll and Sadie Gibson.
