Accident

Vehicles driven by Richard O. Nile, 64, of Dixfield, and Richard W. Ireland, 25, of Bangor, collided at 10:02 a.m., Jan. 31, on River Road. Nile’s 2004 four-door Dodge sustained $10,000 in damage. Ireland’s 1999 four-door Ford sustained in $3,000 damage. Nile and Ireland were taken to Rumford Hospital by Med-Care Ambulance Service. They were treated and released. Several passengers were not injured.

Theft

A Carlton Avenue resident reported a theft at 3:40 p.m., Feb. 1, of power tools, drills and batteries with an estimated value of $200. They were stored in an unsecured basement. Police have no leads.
