LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Feb. 4 with 34 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the members of the Armed Forces.
The funeral of a former member, Rose Therrien, was held Feb. 1.
A guest, George Doiron, was present. Members welcomed back Mary Potter, Diane Getz and Jean Luciano.
Couture reported the group had received a thank-you card from Marie Gagnon, who said that it would be awhile before she returned to meetings.
On Monday, Feb. 11, a Valentine party will be held and members will bring in light refreshments.
The group will meet at noon that day. They will hold a Chinese auction, which will consist of food items only, on Monday, Feb. 18.
The 50-50 was won by Marilyn Desoto and a door prize donated by Carmen Moreau was won by Doris Demillo. At the conclusion of the meeting, bingo and other card games were played.
