In addition to responses from readers, Sun Spots contacted Laurie Ouellette of Sweet Pea Designs who says she specializes in planning weddings but also does a lot of prom flowers and has assisted with other teenage-related events. Ouellette says she has lots of vendors she deals with and it’s often easier for her to get deals. Contact Laurie Ouellette and Tracy Draper of Sweet Pea Designs, 940 Lisbon St., Lewiston, 777-1520. They are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Another possible option might be the LRTC Culinary Arts Program in Lewiston. Contact them at 55 Alfred A. Plourde Pkwy, Lewiston, ME 04240-1010, 777-3199.

The phone number for the reader seeking information on the painting of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul at The Fishery restaurant was incorrect in Tuesday’s column. Readers wishing to contact this writer can do so via the correct number, 782-5633. Sun Spots apologizes for the error.

In the meantime, thanks to several readers’ tips, Sun Spots spoke with the artist, Dominick Ranucci, who was happy to include some history. He notes that he did this particular painting about 10 years ago for his son who owned The Fishery restaurant at the time. His son sold the restaurant and Ranucci got his paintings back. Ranucci described the painting at about 18 inches wide by 3½ feet tall. It’s a watercolor of the Basilica. Ranucci has always been stretching and drafting and painting was a natural progression for him. He may be reached at 783-7716.

Dear Sun Spots: CVS used to sell Turkish pistachios called Zenobia pistachios. They no longer sell them. Can you find out why or if there is another store that carries this brand? Thank you. – No Name, Peru.

Dear Sun Spots: In the past few weeks you had a question dealing with solar powered lighted house numbers. I recently got a catalog from Harbor Freight Tools Company and it had these lights listed at a very good price. It also has a Web site which is www.harborfreight.com plus a phone number for customer service at 1-800-444-3353. Hope this helps the person that was looking for this. – No Name, No Town.
