NORWAY – Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Friday afternoon on Main Street.

Paris police Lt. Michael Dailey said Stephen Damon of Paris claimed he was attacked by a person with a small pocketknife.

Damon suffered a laceration to his left wrist.

Dailey said Damon walked to the Big Apple convenience store on Main Street in Paris, where he asked for something to bind the wound. Workers at the store then called 911. Dailey said Damon was starting to walk back toward Norway when he responded to the scene.

Officer Holli Pullen of the Norway Police Department responded, as did PACE Ambulance. Damon was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital and later released.

Dailey said Damon was unable to identify the attacker. The matter was turned over to the Norway Police Department for investigation.
