BETHEL – Bailey Davis recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds to lift Telstar to a 49-34 victory over Livermore Falls in their regular-season girls’ basketball finale.
The Rebels (11-7) led 17-11, 28-18 and 37-27 at the quarter breaks.
Josie Reiss added eight points and five assists, while Abby Hutchins had seven points and five assists. Esther Bizier led the Andies (2-16) with seven points.
Mt. Abram 59, Carrabec 42
NORTH ANSON – Mikayla Burbank deposited 17 points to lead Mt. Abram in their regular-season finale, a 59-42 win over Carrabec.
The Roadrunners (12-6) took control after halftime doubling up the Cobras (2-16) 16-8 in the third quarter and took a commanding lead in the fourth, outscoring their opponent 21-9.
Morgan Cummings drained 15 points, Kenni Norton recorded 13 and Janessa Thomas swiped 12 in the victory.
For Carrabec, Allysa Stoddard tossed in 10 points, and Makenzie Weiss added nine of her own.
Mountain Valley 32, Jay 22
JAY – Mountain Valley opened the game Friday with a 12-8 first quarter and finished it off with an 11-3 run to beat Jay, 32-22.
Tanya Martin led the Falcons with 15 points. Meagan Maifeld added eight. Jay got 14 from Hillary Deane.
The Falcons finished 16-2 while the Tigers end the regular season at 9-9.
Boys’ basketball
Dirigo 69, Mt. Abram 20
SALEM – Colby Knapp scored a game-high 16 points as Dirigo easily defeated host Mt. Abram 69-20 in late-season MVC play.
Adam Law and Thomas Knight added 11 points apiece in the win, and Tyler Chiasson chipped in eight, including two 3-pointers for the Cougars (17-1).
Noah Tranten nailed three shots from beyond the arc and recorded 12 points for the Roadrunners (2-16).
Corey Tripp added six in the loss.
Winthrop 84, Telstar 48
WINTHROP – Sam Leclerc drained a game-high 20 points, including two 3-pointers for Ramblers, (17-1) as they blew out Telstar 84-48. Ezra Damm knocked down 16 points, Larry Foster had 12 and Zach Farrington accounted for 10 in the win.
James Kimball led the Rebels (4-13) with 11 points.
