VIENNA – Thomas and Catherine Jacobs of Vienna are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Jacobs of Mt. Vernon, to Matthew Sylvester of Mt. Vernon, son of Ernest and Nancy Sylvester of Leeds.
Miss Jacobs is a 2000 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and a 2004 graduate of St. Joseph’s College with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta.
Mr. Sylvester is a 1999 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and a 2004 graduate of Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, Mass., with a bachelor’s degree in aviation science. He is employed at Knowles Lumber in Monmouth.
A Sept. 26 wedding will be held in Rangeley.
