HANOVER, N.H.- With family by her side, Candida Gloria Royer, 52, of Gilman, Vt., died on the evening of Feb. 3.
“Candi” passed away peacefully at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, N.H., after valiantly fighting a short battle with lung cancer.
She was born in Rumford on Jan. 7, 1956, the daughter of Alfred and Marion Cochran of Canton. She graduated high school in Buckfield in 1974.
She was fun loving and cared deeply for others, and like her mother, often put their needs before hers. She had a huge admiration for tigers and horses. Her hobbies included traveling, crocheting and just spending quality time with family and friends.
Surviving family members include Doug, her husband of 33 years; mother, Marion Cochran of Canton; children, Mandy and her fiancée, Jim Long, of Wheelock Vt., Les and his wife, Dawn, of Gilman Vt., and Jason and Kindra of Woodsville, N.H.; brother, Alfred and sister, Delia, both of Maine; grandchildren, Cassidey, Kyle, Nikolas and Paige.
