Church concert

NORWAY – Fred Merrill will be in concert at the Norway Church of the Nazarene at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. He will offer southern Gospel music. Call the pastor at 473-6960 and ask for Shawn.

Lenten Sunday

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, South Paris, will celebrate the second Sunday in Lent on Sunday, Feb. 17. Sunday school and Making the Old Story Our Story will start at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:15. It will be followed by coffee, refreshments and fellowship.

An evening of music and poetry will be noted at 7 p.m. Valentine’s Day, Thursday, Feb. 14. A love offering will be taken to assist the local community with heating costs. Refreshments will be served.

Church speaker

PARIS – The guest speaker at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris, on Sunday, Feb. 17, will be the Rev. Henry Male. His sermon topic will be “When Is Enough Really Enough?”

Music will be under the direction of Forest Perkins with Renee Wales, flutist, accompanying the choir and congregation. Alan DeSilva, guitarist, will be the guest soloist.

Sunday school is under the direction of Renee Wales and child care is available. Coffee and fellowship will follow the service and all are welcome.
