LEWISTON – A service honoring the life of Cheryl G. Mattingly was held Jan. 30 at Montello Manor. Mrs. Mattingly, in cooperation with the Rev. Elaine Armstrong, hospice chaplain, planned her memorial. The caring staff at Montello Manor prepared the event in the facility that had been her home for the past nine years. The eulogy was delivered by her brother, Stephen Peterson. Readings were given by other family members: Kathryn McConaughey, Seth Metevier, Paul Metevier, Sandra Peterson and dear friends, Ellen Richardson and Kelly Marin. The music included “Just a Closer Walk With Thee,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.” Pallbearers were Stephen Peterson, Brad Peterson, Kristoffer Mattingly, Paul Metevier, Seth Metevier and Scott McConaughey.
