LEESBURG, Va. – Marian M. (Jurs) Albrecht, 76, of Ashburn, Va., formerly of Crystal Lake, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 9, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1931, in Algonquin, Ill., the daughter of the late Henry Jurs and the late Martha (Schuring) Jurs.
She was active in founding the Senior Center in Loudoun Co., Va. She volunteered for many years at Loudoun Hospital. She was an avid golfer and pinochle player.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Albrecht) Schwarz of Ashburn, Va.; son, Thomas W. Albrecht of Bangkok, Thailand, formerly of Oxford, and his fiancee’, Kannika Todboon; one sister, Helen Mollenkamp of Barrington, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Curt, Laura and Rick.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert W. Albrecht Jr., in 1990; and four siblings, Alvin, Glenn and LaVerne Jurs and Irma Shields.
