As reported in the Sun Journal, Sen. Ted Kennedy came to Maine to let us know that Sen. Barack Obama has a plan that will finally bring solutions to the broken health care system. Kennedy said, “He will make that the first order of business.”

Undoubtedly Obama and Clinton both have much better health care plans than any Republican. However, an Associated Press poll in 2007 found that the majority of Americans support a single-payer health care system, so why is there no candidate who will support such a system?

Everyone who is frustrated with the health care crisis should look into HR676, a bill in Congress that would provide health care for all Americans. We need to build a movement for single-payer health care, and fight back against the big insurance companies and the drug companies who are against it.
