PARIS – Continuing a decades-long tradition, Deering Memorial United Methodist Church in Paris will again host lunches on the Thursdays of Lent.

The lunches will begin at noon and consist of soup, sandwiches, salad and a sermonette. The messages each week will be brought by a different area pastor. The schedule for Lent is:

Today the Rev. Kim Marie of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Feb. 21: the Rev. Don Mayberry of First Congregational Church.

Feb. 28: Father Brendan Harnett of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church.

March 6: the Rev. Genise Knowlton of Paris Hill Baptist Church.

March 13: the Rev. Anne Stanley of Christ Episcopal Church in Norway.
