LISBON – The Lisbon Library Department will offer several opportunities for children of all ages to “get out of the house” during school vacation, Feb. 19 to 22.

As always, the children’s room will host Toddler Time for children ages 18 months to 3 years from 10 to 10:25 a.m. and Story Time for ages 3 to 5 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There will be songs, rhymes and stories. Preregistration is not required for either weekly preschool program.

Children in grades kindergarten to five are invited to the children’s room at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, for a special craft time to complete a “make-it, take-it” craft. Preregistration is required.

From 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, children in grades five to nine are invited to join fellow detectives in solving a mystery, “Heavy Metal Kidnapping.” Each detective will accomplish nine tasks and investigate six clues in order to rescue the children and capture the kidnapper.

Space is limited for the event, and children must register and pick up an admission ticket in the children’s room by Friday, Feb. 15, to participate.

For more information or to register, contact the children’s librarian, Sue Ramsay, at 353-6564.
