LEWISTON – The Lahey Foundation made a $3,000 donation to a young local family whose son was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
Cody Oldham, 11 months, is the son of Shannon Bryant-Oldham and Dana Oldham. It is projected that Cody will be a patient at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland for up to six months. A trust fund has been established to assist the family with expenses.
Paul Dionne, chairman of the Lahey Foundation, presented Elliot Epstein, trustee of the Cody Oldham Trust, with the check at the annual Lahey Foundation bowling tournament held at Spare-Time Recreation.
An additional $1,000 was also collected at the bowling tournament.
Friends of the family are planning future fundraising events to help offset the expenses the family will incur. Donations can be sent to the Cody Oldham Trust, Auburn Savings Bank, 256 Court St., Auburn, ME 04210.
