SOUTH PARIS – Lucy A. Brown (Dolly), 86, of Oxford, died Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Market Square Health Care Center.

She was born on Nov. 24, 1921, in South Paris to Harry and Ida (Morse) Noyes. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1939. She was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She married Merton A. Brown in Oxford on Nov. 30, 1939. He passed away Jan. 30, 1972.

She was a member of Hamlin Temple Pythian Sisters, and Elizabeth Crockett Blake Tent Daughters of Union Veterans.

She is survived by a son, Merton Brown Jr. of East Millinocket; a daughter, Shannon May and her husband, Bruce, of South Paris; grandchildren, Patrick May of Westport, Conn., Tammy Dignan of South Paris, Lisa Brown of Lewiston and Mick Brown of Sabattus; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Haynes Noyes of South Waterford.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy McGray on Feb. 17, 1997.
