TURNER – Rivendell Rustics workshop and retail store has opened at 1748 Auburn Road (Route 4) in Turner.

Owned and operated by Daniel H. Presby, the location, in a double log cabin, is a mix of a small workspace and showroom where visitors can see rustic log furniture being created and displayed.

The retail area showcases several rustic garden benches, pine benches, stone-topped tables and gift items.

Much of the wood comes from land Presby owns in central Maine, and each creation is individual, using woods, driftwood and stone.

Presby has been crafting benches and tables for nearly 20 years as a hobby.

The business also offers rental of rustic furniture to wedding planners and photographers for use in special events.

Rivendell Rustics is open Tuesday through Sunday, generally from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; open until 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
