LEWISTON – Annette M. Goulet, 87, formerly of 4 Old Lisbon Road, Lewiston, died Sunday, Feb. 17, at Montello Manor.
She was born in Lisbon Jan. 15, 1921, a daughter of John J. and Veronica (Veilleux) Fortin. She was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.
On Dec. 28, 1940, she married Emery Goulet, who predeceased her on May 6, 2002. She worked many years in the medical field as both a receptionist and a certified nursing assistant until her retirement.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus and among her favorite enjoyments in her free time were knitting and sewing. Not only did she knit mittens and other winter items for her family, she also created full-length dresses for herself. She was a kind and devoted wife, mother and grandmother with a big heart who will be sadly missed by her family.
She leaves her son, Raymond Goulet of Sabattus, and his companion, Constance Fisher, of Lewiston; two grandsons, Raymond and Michael Goulet, both of Sabattus; a sister, Mary Lafrance of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Yvette Bussiere and Cecile Dagneau; and two brothers, Roland and Raymond Fortin.
