WATERVILLE — Jordan Bourgoin drilled a wrist shot past Waterville goalie Nolan McDonald with 3:48 remaining to lift Lewiston to a 4-3 victory over Waterville in the regular-season finale for both teams.
The line of Bourgoin, Jon Roy and Robbie Leeman produced all four goals for the Blue Devils (16-3-1).
Bourgoin’s goal came 19 seconds after Cam Bishop had tied the game for the Panthers (13-6-1).
The Devils and goalie Cam Poussard kept Waterville off the board during a pivotal 5-on-3 power play for the opening 1:42 of the third period with the score tied 2-2.
Poussard finished with 20 saves.
Roy scored two goals and added a pair of assists for Lewiston, while Leeman had a goal and three assists.
John Masse and Ian Rowe also scored for the Panthers.
Portland 9, EL 2
PORTLAND – Forward Ben Rodick had an outstanding performance with four goals as Portland downed Edward Little 9-2 in hockey action Monday evening.
The Bulldogs came out strong in the first period, out scoring the Red Eddies (5-15) by a margin of 5-1 in the frame.
Goalie Adam Loudermilk turned away 37 shots for Edward Little.
Poland-GNG 8, Massebesic-OOB 0
HEBRON – Senior center Cory Cormier collected two goals and two assists as Poland-Gray New Gloucester cruised to an 8-0 victory over Massabesic-Old Orchard Beach.
The Patriotic Knights (15-4) found the back of the net on five occasions in the first period. Ben Piper and Gardner Lajoie contributed two goals apiece for Poland-GNG.
Goalie Jeremy Cothrell fended off 30 shots for the Seastangs (2-16-1), while goalies Sean Bilodeau and Matt Ouellette combined for 10 saves in the winning effort.
