SHELBURNE, N.H. – Cody V. Smith, 15, of West Bethel, died unexpectedly Feb. 16, in Shelburne, N.H.

He was born in Norway on March 9, 1992, the son of Dennis E. Smith and Lisa (Dooen) Smith and was a member of the ninth grade at Telstar High School. Cody was the type of person who could light up a room with his smile and personality, and had an uncanny ability to make people laugh. Cody enjoyed the outdoors ATV riding, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking.

Cody is survived and will be sadly missed by his father, Dennis of New Sharon; his loving mother, Lisa Smith and sister, Kaylee Smith, both of West Bethel; maternal grandmother, Joy Nelson of South Paris; stepgrandmother, Patricia Dooen of Bethel; paternal grandparents, Homer and Edie Smith of Bethel; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; and many loyal friends.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Vincent Dooen in 2007.
