On January 17, Elm Street School had a home varsity basketball game against St. John’s.

The girls played their game first. The girls’ coach is Mrs. Sarah Rose. By first period, the score was 5-10 with St. John’s leading. By second period, it was 7-10 with St. John’s still leading. At third period, it was 13-14 with St. John’s only leading by one point. Fourth period, the score was 17-17 with an intense tie. The game continued into overtime when the score ended up being 18-19 with St. John’s winning by one point!

The boys played their game next. Their coach is Mr. Darren Littlefield. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make it to the game so Elm Street School’s vice principal, Mr. Arthur Reed stepped in as the substitute coach. In the first period, the score was 13-6 with Elm Street leading. At second period, it was 19-13 with Elm Street still ahead. At third period, Elm Street leaped ahead double of what St. John’s had with the score 32-16. In the fourth period, Elm Street dominated and stole the win with the score 40-20!
