MONT VERNON, N.H. (AP) – Deep snow, laden with heavy rains, continues to take a toll on New Hampshire buildings.

In Mont Vernon, part of the Beaver Brook Farm and Transportation Museum collapsed on Monday, destroying many rare artifacts.

Owner Ed Gilbert opened the museum in 1985. It’s devoted to New Hampshire history, Christmas and transportation. Gilbert said he does not have insurance on the museum and does not know if he will able to rebuild.

In Tilton, a Main Street landmark, the Barrett Auction Service, fell in on Saturday. Barrett estimated the building was at least 125 years old.
