LEWISTON – Richard A. Poisson, 75, of Lewiston, died Feb. 16, at Russell Park Nursing Home, with his loving family by his side.

He was born on May 7, 1932, in Lewiston, the son of George and Bernadette (Jacques) Poisson. He was a graduate of St. Dominic High School. He then went on to serve his country proudly in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.

Before his retirement from Country Kitchen, he had worked at Knapp Shoe, Boston Shoe Store and Steckino’s. He was a member of the American Legion Post 22.

He is survived by his daughter, Dorothy Poisson of Lewiston; sons, David and his wife, Debbie, of Sabattus, Denis of Durham, Donald of Lewiston, Daniel and his wife, Karen, of Lewiston and Douglas Poisson of Lewiston; brothers, Ovide of Blue Hill, Titis of North Carolina, and Gerard of Connecticut; sister, Germaine of Auburn; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jeannine; parents; brother, Roland Poisson; and sister, Bernadette Bolduc.
