NORWAY – Two people received minor injuries Tuesday morning when their cars were involved in a four-car pile-up on Route 26 by Steve’s Auto.

Michelle Cooper, 36, of Record Lane, Oxford, was taken by Oxford Rescue to Stephens Memorial Hospital after complaining of back pain. Scot Perkins, 23, of Oxford, was taken by PACE ambulance to the hospital complaining of neck pain.

According to Officer Holli Pullen, the accident occurred shortly after 10:30 a.m. when a GMC Sierra driven by 36-year-old Keith McAllister of Kezar Road, Waterford, slammed into Cooper’s Dodge van, which was stopped in traffic. Cooper’s van then struck a Plymouth Neon driven by Perkins, which went into a GMC Sierra driven by 40-year-old Brian Colburn of Big Hill Road in Otisfield. His truck had no damage.

Pullen said the accident appeared to have been caused by driver inattentiveness on the part of McAllister. No citations were issued.
