SOUTH PORTLAND – Daniel C. Folker 47, formerly of Key Largo, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 17, in South Portland.
He was born in Teaneck, N.J., the son of Walter and Grace “Clayton” Folker. He was a graduate of Kennebunk High School, Class of 1979.
He attended community college in Florida, where he received an associate degree in hotel/restaurant management. He spent the last 20 years as a food and beverage director at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla., and was the general manager of the Card Sound County Club.
Survivors include his mother, Grace Folker of Sun City, Fla.; three brothers, Frank and wife, Sharon Folker, Joseph and wife, Lisa Folker, and Tom Folker; sisters, Valerie and husband, Eric Zempter, Joan Folker and Emily and Alan Snapp; nieces and nephews, Jamie, Jen, Elizabeth, Matt, Ben, Christin, Melissa, Alex, Andrew and Julian; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends in both Florida and Maine.
He was predeceased by his father, Walter Folker.
