CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Sugarloaf will bring Keller Williams and the WMD’s to the King Pine Stage for the Bud Light Concert Series Saturday, Feb. 23. Popular in jam band circles, Williams is known for his innovative live shows and unconventional playing style.

He is best recognized for his looping, a technique that enables musicians to perform live duets with themselves via recordings made on the spot, according to Sugarloaf’s Web site. Williams frequently records a bass line, percussion line, lead guitar and lead vocals on stage to create the sound of a full band.

Last year, Williams formed the band WMD’s with Jeff Sipe on drums, Keith Mosely on bass, Gibb Droll on lead guitar and Keller Williams on rhythm guitar. WMD’s played at last year’s Bonnaroo Music Festival and has been touring the country.

Opening the concert will be Ryan Montbleau of the Ryan Montbleau Band, a New England native and nationally renowned musician. He will perform a solo acoustic set.

Montbleau recently released his latest album with the Ryan Montbleau Band, titled “Patience.”

This is a 21-plus show with proper identification required at the door. Doors will open at 8 p.m., with music to start at 9 o’clock. Tickets are $22 in advance, $26 day of show. They are available at 1-800-THELOAF.
