Accidents
• A vehicle driven by Raymond F. Gagnon, 84, of Dixfield, hit a patch of black ice as he was driving east on Route 2 at 8:15 a.m. Feb. 19. The 1994 Dodge pickup truck he was driving struck a snowbank and a utility pole, causing the truck to land on its side. The truck sustained $3,500 damage.
• A vehicle driven by Barry R. Gallant, 17, of Porter Road, Dixfield, hit a patch of ice as he was driving east on Route 2 at 8:52 p.m. Feb. 17. The 2001 Ford sports utility vehicle he was driving struck a snowbank, then landed on its side. The SUV sustained $6,000 damage.
Arrest
• Edward Gracey, 21, of Arsenault Drive, Dixfield, obstructing government administration, at 9:55 p.m. Feb. 19. Bail was set at $200 cash at the Dixfield Police Department. He was unable to make bail so was taken to the Oxford County Jail.
Threat
• Dixfield police officer Charles Beale is investigating an incident at Dirigo Middle School where someone left a threatening note against a student on a computer printer. The note was found by school administration on Feb. 8, then turned over to police on Feb. 11.
