I am taking a break from reading about various things and am wonderingcan our elected officials assure the people of Maine that politicians will not impose Sharia law as the law of the state or country? After all, Sharia law is not permitted by the Constitution.

By promising never to impose Sharia law, politicians would only be affirming their loyalty to the United States. But with all that is taking place lately, that might be asking a lot of elected officials.

After all, look at the problem politicians have with securing the U.S. border, having English as the official language (or even the state of Maine), preserving the American cultureand whatever else is going on that would have been considered treason when I was a youngster.

For my part, I will not vote for any politician with two or more terms in office, state or federal, until politicians realize they work for us, the people, and should have our (the people’s) best interest put first.

The older or senior politicians wield the power, so it seems logical they are the ones who must go, until government starts listening to the people. A politician cannot exist without people’s votes, no matter how senior, or powerful. People must vote wisely, as the majority of us who vote are responsible for the government that exists now, and in the future.
