KENTS HILL – Ian Palmer and Dakota Bowie each scored two goals to life the Maranacook Area Youth Hockey Bantams to a 7-5 win over Kennebec/Gardiner in a free-wheeling contest at Kennebec Ice Arena in Hallowell.

Maranacook rounded out its weekend by routing Bangor, 11-1, at its home rink on the campus of Kents Hill School. Bowie scored four goals in that victory.

Dan Welch, Tyler Leet and Eric Crawley each added a goal in the Saturday triumph over Kennebec. Leet led the offense with four assists, with Palmer and Crawley both setting up one goal.

Cameron MacMillian scored a hat trick and registered an assist for Gardiner. Dylan Cheevers and Matt Landry both had a goal. MacMillian, Cheevers, Kiefer Cantara and Tyler Quirion picked up assists.

Leet and Palmer landed two goals apiece against Bangor. George Bragdon, Sam Bryant and Dan Condon each logged one to back up Bowie’s big day. Bryant and Leet had multiple assists for Maranacook (17-3-4), while Tom Pietroski, Tony McIver, Bowie, Condon and Welch each produced a single assist.

River Mullan was the winning goaltender in both games.
