I must be stupid, because there are too many things I don’t understand. Could somebody please help me understand? A senator or congressman, perhaps?
Why has the price of gasoline increased more than 12 cents per gallon during the past several days?
Why don’t our elected representatives in Washington, D.C., see that the American consumer is being gouged by the oil companies when they continue to report higher, astronomical profits every year?
Every company is entitled to make a reasonable profit, but the profits being enjoyed by the oil companies are ridiculously high.
Something is wrong. Why can’t our elected representatives see that?
Congress holds hearings, and continues to buy the excuses the oil companies put forth for the reasons of high gasoline and oil prices.
Why is it that Congress feels it is more important to hold hearings on possible abuses in the sports of baseball and football than it is to address the serious problem of abuse by oil companies?
As I said, I must be stupid but, in my opinion, it is time for a clean sweep of Congress.
I will not be voting for any of the incumbents.
