BRIDGTON – The fifth annual Art in the Park will take place in Shorey Park on Saturday, July 19 (rain date the next day). Several prizes will be awarded in three categories: photography, wall art and fine crafts.
The show is about 90 percent full, and those interested in displaying their work should visit Gallery 302, 112 Main St., and pick up an application.
For more information or to have an application mailed, call the gallery at 647-2787. The remaining spaces will be given out in the order applications are received, then a waiting list will be established.
The Bridgton Art Guild is in the process of accepting ads from business and personal sponsors. A booklet will be published with a projected distribution of three to four thousand. Those interested in being a sponsor should pick one up at Gallery 302 or call Joe Beecher at 693-3161 or Nancy Smoak at 939-2384. All ads are due by April 15.
The show will also be publicized with posters and T-shirts displaying Jane Croteau’s poster contest winning block-print image titled “Sharing the Lake.”
