Ruffles was one of three cats and one dog McKennel’s owner, Marsha McKenna, brought to the community center as part of a food drive to help abandoned pets. The community center “charges” cat or dog food, or cash each year during the local basketball tournaments to benefit McKennel’s or Brenda Jarvis’ shelter for abandoned cats in Dixfield.
