DOVER-FOXCROFT – Beatrice M. “Bea” Chandler, 84, a resident of the Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft, formerly of Farmington, died early Thursday, Feb. 28, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 26, 1923, in Wilton, the daughter of Raymond C. and Ruth E. (Wood) Whitney. She was a 1941 graduate of Wilton Academy, and on Dec. 4, 1943, married Daniel Chandler. He died June 2, 2004.
She was a past worthy matron of the OES 143, and was a longtime member of the Grange and the Extension.
Survivors include three sons, Adrian Chandler and his wife, Marilyn, of New Sharon, Bruce Chandler of Ellsworth and Barry Chandler of Jay; two daughters, Cherrilynn Chandler of Monmouth and Candace Leland and her husband, David, of East Sangerville; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence W. Whitney in 2007.
